Overview

Proactively grow and deepen relationships with existing small business members as well as actively prospect for new credit union small business and retail members. Promote membership and expand utilization of products and services by coordinating sales and service efforts both in the community and with branch universal agents.

Responsibilities

  • Meet established business sales goals and service standards by establishing and retaining relationships with existing and new members. Support Retail Universal Agents and branch retail goals by cross-selling services and products to members.
  • Establish and sustain successful business member relationships that maximize the sales and revenue of loans, products and services from the credit union.
  • Aggressively support the Branch Universal Agents through constant and consistent branch visits, phone, and electronic communications.

 

  • Proactively prospect current members and potential members for business accounts through personal contact, telephone outreach and community activities.
  • Cross-train staff as part of sales efforts; may conduct formal training on products and sales techniques
  • Serve as the point of contact for branch personnel, assisting with member transactions.

 

 

  • Maintain all aspects of policy and procedure compliance for business deposit accounts.

 

 

  • Open new business accounts or other credit union products with completeness & accuracy while ensuring a positive member experience.

 

 

  • Support the Business Loan Officers and the Director of Business Services.

 

 

  • Travel within branch network required.

 

 

  • Maintain a professional appearance and courteous attitude.

 

  • Contribute to efficient credit union operations by performing other related duties as assigned by the Business Deposit Manager or the Director of Business Services.

Qualifications

 

  • One year of retail sales and customer service experience preferred.

 

  • Experience in generating new business preferred.

 

  • Ability to build relationships with others.      

 

  • Possess a desire to serve others, with placing their needs above your own.

 

  • High self-motivation, results oriented with little supervision required.

 

  • Excellent oral/written communication skills and problem solving skills.

 

  • Proficiency with PC, and Microsoft Office Suite.

 

  • High school Diploma or equivalent.
