The primary function of this position is to deliver high quality service to our dealer base.  Additionally, this position is responsible for building dealer relationships through consistent phone, electronic, written, and if necessary, in-person communication, which ever is applicable.




Provide dealers with consistently high quality service.  As such this position will meet the following standards:


  • Communicate with dealership personnel regarding loan funding, problems, incentives, etc.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to discuss with dealers our program specifics.  Additionally, be willing to communicate a members loan specifics, set-up and account/loan deficiencies if/when necessary.
  • Actively look for ways to streamline the position and processes associated.
  • Present a positive, successful image of the credit union through a professional appearance and courteous attitude.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all credit union and dealer/member matters.
  • Adhere to all lending compliance guidelines.
  • Service dealers in all funding related aspects.
  • Provide the credit union with an adjustable, flexible work schedule negotiable for both the employee and the credit union as business demands require.



The following duties are normal for this position.  These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.  Other duties may be required and assigned as such.


  • Process indirect packets per procedures and guidelines, making sure to time-date stamp all deals as they arrive.
  • Process all indirect dealer packets in the order they arrive.  All packets must be funded no later than 48 business hours after arrival, at the latest.  Less than one business day is expected.
  • Verify all documents necessary are included in the packet as received from the dealer.
  • Verify the accuracy of loan amounts, general Truth In Lending terms and signatures.
  • Maintain communication with approved dealers in order to provide necessary documents.
  • Process and disburse proceeds through Kansas Corporate and/or checks as necessary.
  • Order coupon books as necessary for members
  • Prepare a completed loan file ready for consumer loan audit.
  • Scan documents accurately and completely to the archive program for all departments as assigned.
  • Verify dealer payments and incentives as necessary.
  • Maintain a record of loans disbursed.
  • Cross sell Meritrust services to new members, when possible and appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.




  • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and work load.
  • High self-motivation, results oriented with little supervision required.
  • High level of computer literacy required.
  • Knowledge of Meritrust products and services.
  • Knowledge of Meritrust policies and procedures.
  • Fundamental knowledge of lending practices.
  • Fundamental knowledge of account-opening procedures.




  • Completion of high school with diploma.
  • One year members service or loan experience in a financial institution
