The primary function of this position is to assist in the maintenance, servicing, and improvements of electronic payment systems, including ACH and Visa card portfolio.


The following duties are normal for this position. These are not exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Cultivates relationships with department and branch personnel to develop a team atmosphere
  • Interacts with staff and members through telephone, fax, mail, and all electronic methods
  • Monitor, document and process all requests from origination to resolution in tracking software
  • Maintains procedures and documentation to improve efficiency and consistency
  • Works with vendors to determine appropriate problem solutions
  • Attend on-going training to achieve level of technical skill needed to solve more complex problems
  • Maintains confidentiality in all credit union and member matters adhering to compliance and regulation standards
  • Assist in processing and support of electronic payments, ACH, Visa portfolio, dispute resolution, and shared branching
  • Identify debit and credit card fraud trends
  • Demonstrate critical thinking with new issues that arises and willingness to learn
  • Analyze trends and recommend actions
  • Cross trained to assist in other areas of electronic and remote member services
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
  • Completion of annual Meritrust education and development program, as well as applicable programs offered



  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Proficiency in all software applications used by the credit union
  • Excellent oral/written communication and people skills
  • Able to adapt quickly to change
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Some college education desired
  • Previous financial institution experience preferred
